At 6th & Meredith, we are a group of Christians dedicated to following the teachings of God, and of His Son Jesus, as found in the Bible. We are a local assembly of believers who care deeply about one another as God has instructed us to love one another.

We believe that the Bible contains the words of God sufficient unto salvation, and that we must follow and apply those words to our lives every day. As such, we're on a mission to teach our friends and neighbors that life eternal through God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, is available to all.

Local Preacher

David M. Bonner is the minister of God's Holy Word at 6th & Meredith church of Christ. Having worshipped with the congregation as a teenager, Dr Bonner, a dentist by trade, returned to Dumas in 1980 to serve the community. In addition to weekly sermons and Bible classes, he has preached nationwide in Gospel Meetings on all Biblical topics including special emphasis studies on Scientific Evidences for God and the Bible. Join us each week to hear and study together!

Lord's Supper Service @ 9:30am
Worship Assembly @ 10:00am
Bible Classes for all Ages @ 11:00am

Wednesday evening classes for all ages @ 7:00pm

Is there an order to your services?

Our services are focused, educational and encouraging. We start with prayer, scripture, and congregational singing. We partake in weekly communion and a collection. Each service contains a sermon preached from God's word, an invitation and closing prayer. We generally have visitors at each service and are grateful for all to join us.

What about my children?

We are excited to welcome your children and help support and encourage them. We believe in emboldening the youth with the sword of the spirit (God's Word) during our bible classes available to all ages.

How do I become a member?

Membership is a vital part of our desire to be a local assembly of Christians committed to a common love for Jesus and one another. One joins the local brethren through their commitment to serving, teaching, leading, and loving each other in a God-honoring manner. Discuss membership with any current member and we will gladly make it easy!

Do you need me?

YES! There are so many opportunities and options to work and participate. Teaching classes, helping members with daily needs, participating in our worship service, and spreading the gospel in the community and abroad!
